Volunteer with the DSC in various capacities and help change the lives of all our resident donkeys, mules and hinnies. You will be rewarded with a bond with these forgotten equine that is unlike any other.

The Donkey Sanctuary of Canada has plenty of opportunities for you to volunteer in various capacities throughout the year. We have some of the most engaged volunteers that any organization could hope to have, with an unparalleled knowledge of the donkeys, the farm, and history of the Sanctuary. Without our volunteers, the operation of our events and day-to-day chores would be next to impossible.

Whether you choose a visit on an Open Day or prefer to book a private, expert-guided tour, be prepared to be charmed by these gentle animals. You will learn how we care for the animals, discover the donkeys’ personalities, the dynamics of the different groupings and get all your questions about donkeys answered by our incredible staff and volunteers.
